Minimal Portfolio Website for a Creative Studio

The brief

A creative studio's portfolio site is judged as a piece of design in its own right, which makes restraint the hardest requirement. Anything expressive enough to be interesting risks competing with the work it is meant to present. The site had to demonstrate craft while getting out of the way of the images entirely.

What we built

• Built image-forward layouts where the work occupies the space and the interface recedes
• Kept the visual system deliberately minimal, so the site reads as confident rather than underdesigned
• Used smooth transitions to carry the sense of craft that a static grid cannot
• Tuned loading and image handling so large creative assets stay fast
