Restaurant Website Design for a 25-Year Wake Forest Institution

The brief

Twenty-five years in downtown Wake Forest earns a restaurant a reputation, but reputation does not survive a website people cannot use on a phone while deciding where to eat. Diners searching from the street need the menu, the hours, and the address in seconds. Anything slower and they open a delivery app instead. The site also had to carry twenty-five years of family history without turning into an about page nobody reads.

What we built

• Put the menu, hours, and location within one tap of every screen, since those are what a hungry visitor actually came for
• Designed appetite-forward layouts where food photography does the selling rather than adjectives
• Wove the twenty-five-year family story through the site instead of quarantining it on an about page
• Optimized for the local search and mobile behavior that drives walk-in traffic to a downtown restaurant
